Amazon acquires Woody Allen’s upcoming movie for Prime Video

Amazon has acquired the North American rights to Woody Allen’s next movie, a still-untitled romantic comedy shot last year that stars Steve Carell, Jeannie Berlin, Blake Lively, and Jesse Eisenberg, among others. As part of the deal, the movie will come to Amazon’s Prime Video streaming service exclusively, after a regular release that will see it arrive in theaters this summer.

Allen and Amazon already have an existing working relationship: the director is creating his first TV show for the company, set to debut on Amazon Prime Video this year.
